I have a passion for modern retro design and I wanted original furniture in good condition that couldn't be found in your average high street shop. I found my sideboard, sofa, lounge suite, curtains, pots and pans on eBay. My furniture is original pieces from the 50's & 60's and brand new Le Creuset cookware. Everything I bought was in good condition and shopping for my house like this has made it unique. I was able to make it a real reflection of who I am.

I constantly look in magazines for ideas that would suit my home and then look on eBay to see if I can find similar items for a good price. I search for items ending soon with no bids, that means I can get a bargain fast. Sometimes if the item is really special, it costs a bit more, but it's worth the wait.

I really wanted a 1950's-60's style coffee set and saw one in a junk shop near my house, but the next day when I went back to purchase it, the shop had been closed and everything was gone and the shop space put up for sale! So I decided to try eBay. I found a really cool 1960's coffee set, watched it and then bid & won. It was so easy and arrived at my house in perfect condition. It would've taken me ages to find something that cool and unique again in a shop.
